I felt compelled to write this article to share my experiences with anyone interested in Tiamo De Vettori and his programs. Let me first say that I don’t seek to slander Tiamo or his character, but rather point out the potential problems any aspiring participant in his programs might encounter.
“I shouldn’t do this!”
As I sat in a Los Angeles hotel room, the feeling in my gut was clear. “I shouldn’t do this!” it said. I’ve always listened to my gut instincts but on this day in late February of 2017, I overrode that feeling. Why?
Tiamo De Vettori stood on the stage, excitedly making his sales pitch. We all knew this was coming. After all, he’d spent three days sharing his content from the stage and clearly had a program to offer. So here it was. It was filled with very standard sales tactics that I’d come to know quite well in my ten years spent as an internet marketer. He was using NLP techniques of mirroring and embedding and I sat unimpressed. But then something changed…
Tiamo pulled out his cellphone and enthusiastically shared with all the participants how he’d just received two speaking requests since the conference had started. He went on talking about how he may very likely have to turn this down, because after all – his speaking fee was now $10,000 and he often had to pass on gigs below his fee.
He continued on and asked how many of us would like that lead. Obviously, hands went up all across the room. In good salesman form, Tiamo bridged that into his Referral Circle line item, which was included in his $25,000 VIP Elite level.
Tiamo said how, as a VIP Elite, you would be part of his Referral Circle and be eligible for all the gigs he had to turn down. He had painted a picture of this being a regular occurrence and that those members would have many opportunities.
THIS is where I overrode my intuition.
See I’d been speaking on camera for over 20 years, and I’d spoken publicly and on stages enough to have people always tell me what a captivating and commanding speaker I was.
If Tiamo De Vettori was making $10,000 a keynote and getting all those leads below his fee AND he was giving those out to his VIP Elites as part of his Referral Circle?!…SIGN ME UP! I knew that I would be one of the top candidates for those leads and that I could deliver.
So I did it. I disregarded my inner voice and believed that if I got nothing from his program but a few referrals in the next 12 months, I would absolutely crush it and easily get my $25,000 back. It seemed like a no-brainer from an ROI perspective. After all, Tiamo had touted how he’d been doing this for 10 years and had built up a network of contacts and referrals that he was eager to share with his VIP Elites.
The truth would be a very far picture from that.
As I went through Tiamo’s Music Prosperity Mastery Mastermind (as a $25k VIP Elite), I did all the work at each step. I was totally focussed and did everything to be ready. I then began to ask Tiamo to step up and honor his Referral Circle. Time after time, he rejected that and began to back peddle on the actual scope and reach of his career. Here are a few audio excerpts from one of our one-on-one coaching calls, where I flat out asked him to deliver for me.

As I continued to push Tiamo to stand by his word, he started mounting more excuses as to why he wasn’t delivering on my request for referrals. In this clip, he uses being burned in the past as an excuse for why he wasn’t giving me a referral and that he felt my video wasn’t at a high enough level. This is the video I had then…
What would follow on the call is me offering Tiamo every incentive I could think of. I offered to give him half of any speaking gig he got me. As I presented him with a vision of another speaker who does just that, Tiamo retreated even further and diminished the scope and reach of his own business. Pretty surprising given that he touts himself as a $10k Expert Speaker.
In this clip, Tiamo flat-out says he’s not an expert speaker.
So What Happened from Here?
All throughout the year, Tiamo had been leading us in monthly group calls; each month becoming more and more frustrating because all he was doing was regurgitating his online course modules that we all already had and it’s only $497 (called Part Time Musician Full Time Income). We had paid anywhere from $20-$25k for this program and were getting nothing but materials we already had.
The one thing that he’d been holding over my head as a reason for not referring me still was my demo reel (original version above). So we were finally ready to have our Mastermind Retreat Day in San Diego and film our demo reels on stage. At his initial live event where we all joined, he had sold this as a $7k line item. Now, I don’t know if you know video or not, but as someone who’s done it professionally for 14 years…
There is NO demo under the SUN that would cost $7k. I mean, you could hire an entire film crew for that. Instead, what we got was a videographer who made terrible pans, had no equipment to capture our audio performance (I thankfully had mine and recorded the entire group) and Tiamo rented the cheapest and smallest conference room I’ve ever seen for only $1,500.
Now these reels were unusable in the condition we received them. However, because I have so many years of experience, I was able to salvage mine. The rest of the members were so unhappy that I organized a group call between us and we drafted a letter to Tiamo to address our grievances with his lackluster delivery. Here is that letter…Mastermind Letter to Tiamo De Vettori
After receiving our letter, Tiamo scheduled a group call with us to offer a solution. What he offered was a far cry from what we’d asked him for. On the call he was defensive and made a litany of excuses. After a few other members and myself challenged him on this as a poor solution, the call ended.
What would follow is Tiamo sending me, and ONLY me, a letter of Termination. In it, he essentially offered me a $7k refund – which was just a prorated amount of the time remaining in the mastermind. He made it contingent on a gag order and even tried to ban me from being connected to the other members or ever doing business with them. Furthermore, he wanted to pay me in monthly payments for the next 10 months and hold over my head the right to revoke it at any point if he suspected I had breached his terms. I’ll include that document for you below and the response letter I sent him.Tiamo De Vettori Termination Agreement to Andrew Hand

Why Did He Kick Me Out – Closing Thoughts and Advice for You
After sending this letter to Tiamo, he responded by saying he would not meet my demands and expected to hear from my attorney. Maybe he didn’t read my letter close enough to recall that I said I DIDN’T want to go down a litigation route. Maybe he was too angered by my forthright style. I don’t know and I probably never will.
Was Tiamo threatened by the fact that I had helped organize the group to address their issues? Was he concerned about the time and money he’d already had to spend to fix the “demo reel” issue and not wanted to spend any more? Was he threatened by me as a leader and showing the flaws and misleading nature of his program?
Again, I have no way of really knowing why he chose to kick me out. I do know that he cited what other people had told him I’d said – which is exactly what I said in my letter to him. I boldly stood up, told Tiamo where his program was failing, and I challenged him to deliver. He is defrauding musicians of MASSIVE amounts of money.
As someone who showed up, did all the work, and flat out asked him to deliver – I cannot under any good conscience advise you to pay Tiamo anything more than perhaps $497 for his information product. You certainly could make that much back if you were successful with some of his ideas.
That being said, I honestly couldn’t even recommend that. Here’s why…
You need to find your own path. It shouldn’t take $497 of someone else’s success story that they cannot demonstrate as successful for others on a wide scale.
This is one of the biggest problems I have with gurus trying to sell you their systems. At the end of the day, we’re all looking for shortcuts, for an easy button, for something to actually help us bypass the time, money, and effort it takes to become successful.
There IS NO BYPASS. Information can help you take more effective action. But, unless someone is truly going to open some doors for you and either not charge you (that’s called mentorship) or put it in writing in a legally enforceable document – you’re going to have to discover your own path to success. Believe me, you have it in you. Will it be hard? Hell yes it will! Will you have to learn a lot of new things? Hell yes you will! Will it be worth it to have climbed that jagged bitch of a mountain? Hell yes…it truly will.
If there’s anything else you’d like to know about Tiamo De Vettori, his programs, or more of my experience – please let me know. I’m an open book and more than willing to share. If I can save one person from wasting their time and money with him or anyone else who doesn’t truly deliver results, I’m happy to!
PS – Here is an edit from the demo reel I salvaged from Tiamo’s Demo Video filming day that he still refused to refer me from.
